Adjacent to Fairfield. Easton was settled in 1639 and
incorporated in 1845. It remains a densely wooded residential and farming area. This is
true back country, Approximately ten miles from Westport in a countryside that can still
be described as rural, even if farming is no longer its mainstay. For many in Fairfield
County, Easton is the place you go to pick raspberries and strawberries and cut your own
Christmas tree.
